- 1, Each Totem E-bike has a level 0 safety device that puts the entire bike in a "pedal only" mode with no power. Motorized power only activates by pedaling when the rider increases the pedal assist level.
- 2, Brake Sensor - Disengages the motor when the brakes are applied, providing an intuitive cycling experience for all riders.
- 3, Overheat Protection - Disengages the motor to protect the drive system when sustained operating temperatures exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- 4, Throttle Protection - Momentarily disengages the throttle after 60 seconds of continuous use to protect the drive system from sustained high current output.
- 5, Battery Management System (BMS) + Over-current Protection – The battery’s internal chip is designed to self-regulate “sleep mode” when not in use for extended periods, prolonging usable battery life and protecting against over-current events.
- 6, Self-diagnosing Error Code messages – smart controller diagnoses drive system status and displays a numbered code to pinpoint areas for troubleshooting.
